Is there really any better way to spend an afternoon than sipping champagne and munching on scones and finger sandwiches?


Whenever I'm going anywhere new to eat, I always have a snoop on Instagram to see what the place looks like beforehand. From interiors to pretty china plates, behold the most Instagrammable afternoon teas in London to up your insta-game.

Dean Street Townhouse


This may just be the prettiest kitchenware to exist. This Instagrammable afternoon tea is the perfect visit for those with white-washed feeds. From smoked salmon and creme cheese to egg mayonnaise, their sandwiches certainly don't disappoint; and neither does their selection traditional British cakes. Marble tables galore...

The Sanderson has everything you need to up your social media game. From a garden filled with fake flamingos to a floral covered ceiling over its bar; take a tumble down the rabbit hole with their Alice in Wonderland inspired afternoon tea. Wet your whistle with a glass of Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé or try one of their many Alice inspired teas. From smoked salmon scotch quail eggs to mouth-watering Queen of Hearts rose and strawberry jammy dodgers, there's no excuse not to be late for this very important date. Dalloway Terrace

Take your seat amidst the floral-filled backdrop and enjoy a taste of Honey Bee Afternoon Tea from possibly the most Instagrammable place in London. Highlighting the importance of bees in our society, the menu's sweet treats focus on four key habitats which help keep bees alive, from forest to garden, field, and mountain. It's actually impossible to not get a photo good enough for the gram here, and afternoon tea isn't the only thing they make look good, they also serve breakfast.

Hotel Kensington

Be the Hotel Kensington's guest and book a table for their Tale as old as Time afternoon tea this summer. White tablecloths and red roses aplenty, a visit to the hotel is worth it on its own. An entrance lobby to die for and breakfast in bed of dreams, the Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea is complete with Mrs Potts and Chip Potts dishware. You may just put their service to the test...

Enjoy your next scone high up in the clouds with the most perfect view of London's skyline. East London's hidden gem, every table is guaranteed a view this breathtaking. A glass of bubbles to accompany, this may just be the perfect afternoon tea to celebrate an occasion in the capital. With glass tables and white china, it's a guaranteed picture for the gram.

A pink lovers haven, Sketch is known as the place to be in London for picture perfect interiors. With the staff donning pink clothing to pink walls, ceilings and even chairs, you'll be served the finest food including croque d'york and eggs truffle gougère. Don't leave without a trip to the bathroom. For bladder purposes after all the champers and also the fact that they're even Instagrammable too. Oh, and their chinaware and artwork are to die for.

The Lanesborough

Currently showcasing their Frida Kahlo inspired afternoon tea, The Lanesborough has curated the perfect menu to celebrate the life of the Mexican artist. Each table is filled with flowers and beautiful silver teapot sets, with Mexican chocolate tartelette and a carrot cake decorated in Frida-esque style to follow. A trip here will be guaranteed to brighten up your grid, and your afternoon...
